Accessibility

The Watsco Center accommodates guests with disabilities. Certified service dogs are welcome, and elevators are available (limited to 4 individuals at a time). For specific accommodations, including accessible seating, contact the venue at 305-284-8686 before your event.

Alcohol

Alcohol is served at select adult-oriented concerts and events. Full bars are located on the Main Concourse and the Premium Suite Level during those events. Guests may not bring alcohol in or leave with it. Florida law prohibits alcohol consumption by anyone under 21; valid ID is required.

Bag Policy

The Watsco Center enforces a clear bag policy. Clear bags must be 12" x 6" x 12" or smaller. Small clutch purses (no larger than 5.5" x 8.5") are permitted and may be carried separately or inside an approved clear bag. Backpacks and non-clear bags are not allowed.

Cameras & Recording

Video equipment is prohibited for all events. Cameras are generally prohibited for concerts but are permitted for most graduation ceremonies. Policies vary by event—check the event page or call 305-284-8686, option 7.

Directions

The venue is located on Ponce de Leon Blvd. on the University of Miami campus. From the Florida Turnpike, take SR 874 to 878 East, merge onto US 1 North, turn left on Red Road (SW 57 Ave), then right onto Ponce de Leon Blvd.—the Watsco Center is about 1 mile on the left. From I-95 South, exit onto US 1, turn right on Stanford Dr., then left onto Ponce de Leon Blvd.—about 2 blocks on the right. Full directions are on the Plan Your Visit page.

Entry & Security

All guests pass through security magnetometers upon entry. You may keep items such as phones, keys, and wallets in your pockets as you pass through screening. There is no re-entry once you leave the venue.

Food & Beverage

Eight concession stands are located on the Main Concourse (second floor), operated by Chartwells. Options include burgers, hot dogs, chicken tenders, pizza, nachos, pretzels, popcorn, fries, candy, beverages, and specialty items like smoothies, shaved ice, funnel cakes, and Dippin' Dots. Outside food and beverages are prohibited, including water bottles and mugs.

Getting Here

The Watsco Center is located at 1245 Dauer Drive, Miami, FL 33146, on the University of Miami campus in Coral Gables. Convenient to I-95, the Florida Turnpike, and the University Metrorail Station (directly across the street).

Health & Safety

The Watsco Center has enhanced health and safety measures, including hand sanitizing stations throughout the venue, increased cleaning protocols, and clear bag screening at entry. Guests who are feeling unwell or who have been in close contact with someone who is ill are asked to stay home.

Hotels & Accommodations

Coral Gables offers a variety of nearby hotels, some with special University of Miami rates. On-campus housing is available mid-May through early August each summer through the UM Office of Conference Services (305-284-5742 or conferences@miami.edu.

Kids

All ages are welcome. Child ticket policies vary by event—call 305-284-8686 for specifics. All strollers, carriers, and car seats must be checked at the VIP Lobby entrance upon entry.

Metrorail

The Watsco Center is directly across the street from the University Metrorail Station. A single trip costs $2.25 (reduced fare $1.10 for Medicare recipients, people with disabilities, and Miami-Dade K-12 students). You need an EASY Card or EASY Ticket—cash is not accepted at faregates. Metrorail runs 5:00 a.m. to midnight, seven days a week.

Parking

On-campus parking is available near the venue. PayByPhone is $2.50/hour (transaction fee included); sessions of 4+ hours convert to all-day parking at $11. On-foot pay stations are $2.50/hour, with a $0.25 transaction fee when extending via phone. Credit cards only—cash is not accepted. Enforcement hours are 7 days a week, 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Vehicles must park head-in only, and the license plate must be registered with the university.

Re-Entry

There is no re-entry into the Watsco Center once you have left.

Service Animals

Certified service dogs for patrons with disabilities are permitted. Other animals are not allowed.

Smoking

The University of Miami is a smoke-free campus, and smoking is prohibited at the Watsco Center.

Tickets

Tickets are available through the event page on our website. Always purchase from authorized sellers; the Watsco Center is not responsible for tickets purchased from third-party resellers.

University of Miami Campus

The Watsco Center is located on the University of Miami campus in Coral Gables. As part of the campus, it is subject to university policies, including the smoke-free campus policy and parking registration requirements.
